Stitchin’ urchin stitch-along

led by Lisa Sliva of @little.lisa.girl

We’ve joined forces with the incredibly talented Jodi Godfrey from Tales of Cloth to bring you a stitchalong for every stitcher, quilter, and sewist from any skill level! Never tried your hand at EPP before? No problem! There will be tips and tricks along the way to get you stitching in no time. Been stitching for years? Perfect! This unique Dresden style block offers a modern twist on a classic that comes together easily for a satisfying finish.

“Urchin” combines English Paper Piecing (EPP), appliqué (by hand or machine), and optional machine piecing along with a variety of layout options to bring you a truly personalized quilt that you’re sure love for years to come!

So grab your needle and thread and join us for the Domesticity “Stitchin’ Urchin” Stitchalong! The stitchalong will run for 10 months from February through November 2019. The first 8 months we will be stitching our blocks and the last 2 months will be reserved for appliqué and final piecing (depending on your desired layout option) resulting in a finished quilt top (or even quilt!) by the end of the year!

And what’s a stitchalong without a few prizes?! Each month a winner will be chosen from the Instagram hashtag #domesticitystitchinurchin. There will be everything from fabric, notions, thread, paper pieces, to gift cards and even a grand prize!

So what are you waiting for? Pre-order your kit from January 11 - 31 in order to get it in time to start stitching February 15th! After that time we can’t guarantee a kit through Domesticity but you’re welcome to check in or order elsewhere! By ordering through Domesticity you will be automatically added to our email list to receive monthly updates and be the first to know about that month’s prizes! Layout options and fabric requirements will be emailed once pre-orders have closed in order to give ample time for purchasing fabric before the stitchalong begins.

We’re really excited about this one and really hope you’ll join us! Stitching is always better together and we can’t wait to share it with you whether you’re down the street or across the globe.

Itchin’ to get stitchin’!
