Sustainability 101 - Making the Most of Your Family's Clothing

Want to extend the life of your commercially made garments, but not sure how to?  Hate when you kid outgrows their brand new pants or sick of holes in the knees of every single pair of pants?  In our first of a series of classes around sustainability, learn repair techniques, tricks for elongating the life of garments, and ways to make your patches beautiful. Some basics we'all go over are button and button hole repairs, lengthening children's pants, reinforcing knees, and shashiko mending techniques.

Class Time: Saturday, September 30th 3:30-5:30

Materials Needed: Bring clothing that needs to be repaired, extended, and improved, and any scrap fabric you'd like to use.
