Beginner Garments : Shirt No. 1

Shirt No 1 is a great basic pattern to introduce you to garment sewing. In this afternoon workshop you will go over measurements, pattern selection and cutting, and using bias tape to finish your edges. This breezy basic is sure to become a wardrobe staple!

Cost: $65

Class Time: Saturday, September 16th 2:00-7:00

Skill Level: Novice* and above. (*Can sew straight lines and is comfortable using a machine)

Skills Learned:

  • Pattern and fabric cutting
  • Seam finishing
  • Bias tape finishing

Materials Needed: 

  • Pattern
  • 1 1/2 yd - 1 3/4 yd  Fabric (according to size)
  • Coordinating thread

Tools: Tools (scissors, cutting mat, needles, seam rippers, sewing machines) will be available for use in the shop though supplies are limited, so you are welcome to bring your own as well. The shop will be open for purchases (fabric, thread, etc.) if you'd like to restock.
