Fix It Cafe: Flat Pattern Adjustment

Do you often find a fit problem in the clothes you make? Have a favorite pattern that needs a tweak? Come learn how to fix your fit issue AND make pattern changes so that you can keep on making the fit for you! Just bring a completed muslin and the corresponding flat pattern to class and our instructor will walk you through how to translate the fit corrections to paper pattern corrections.

Cost: $40

Level: Intermediate

Materials needed:

  • Completed muslin to adjust
  • Corresponding pattern to adjust

Tools: Tools (scissors, cutting mat, needles, seam rippers, sewing machines) will be available for use in the shop, though supplies are limited so you are encouraged to bring your own as well. The shop will be open for purchases (fabric, thread, etc.) if you'd like to restock.

**All items are also available in the shop, so no worries if you forget anything or don't have it yet! These will all be basic tools for your sewing journey moving forward!**

Instructor: Susan Holmes

About the Instructor: Sue Holmes has been sewing all her life. With two grandmothers who sparked that interest, she continues today. Having spent years in both theater and manufacturing, as well as an alterations business she still runs today, she's your go-to for problems big and small and has learned many things worth sharing.
